Quote - 3000 fonts? Wow and I thought I was a fontaholic... But I only have 1327 fonts installed. WAAH! Now I'm pining for more...
I never ever install additional fonts to my windows folder. I learned the hard way back when I had windows 98.
Now I use Printer's Apprentice 7.0 and any extra fonts that I want, I put into an entirely separate folder somewhere on my hard drive and browse them using Printer's Apprentice 7.0. When I want to use one with my graphic program, I simply open the font and minimize it to my tool bar.
Contrary to belief, you don't have to have a font installed to be able to use it. It just has be open and then it will show up in your font list in your graphic program.
So far as the program goes, it does allow you to use installed fonts, uninstalled fonts, and manage installed fonts very easily.
