Ran into a major problem with the mesh over the weekend. I offset the hull inwards so that the visable inner side abobe the deck can be textured seperately. I used a very small offset to keep in scale. The inner skin distorted a bit when meshed and I was left with inner facets sticking out through the outer skin when viewed from the stern. I couldn't get around it and in the end had to remodel the inner walls. I also added a lot more isocurves to the hull which seemed to make the meshing go better. All this took a lot of time to fix, and I have mapped and painted the hull three times. Nearly threw my hat at it, but got there in the end, and its all good learning I guess. I have the main superstructure mapped now too but not painted. Hopefully no more mines floating along....
