Okay.  Testing results.

Going uphill, the results are definitely better in the lips.  They're coming closer to favoring the raycasting results in the upper eyebrows, for good or ill.  Otherwise, very similar results, at least eyeballing it.

Going downhill, the results are improved in some areas but possibly worsened in others.  The ears have come out a bit better with this new .pyd.  The backs of the nostrils are a bit worse.  Both of these areas were not very well lined up for the comparison.  One single vertex in the right ear is now being dropped altogether and not weighted.  It was being caught by the previous .pyd.

Results are better if the number of influences is raised, particularly going uphill.
