Quick test of alternate normals used with TDMT raycasting.  Here, the comparison was run using normals which combined cylindrical and spherical shapes to produce a capsule effect.  Some areas of the mesh turned out better here than above.  Look at the upper eyebrows.  The lacrimals here required no screening.  Altering the normals is not an inherently bad thing to try.
