Carrara can currently do what you need!
You can specify whatever render dimensions you'd like and the production frame will re-size accordingly.
Honestly, when the time comes, you'll be able to get a lot more done if you use Carrara by itself and cut DS out of the equation. DS's Puppeteer controls are on their way to C8 I believe too :)
