The altocumulus clouds are one of my favourites too. In fact it`s one of the simpler files. Most of what you see are cloud details from the volumetrics v.2 model. The rest is done by the Vue 8 sun.

Daniel, it seems that the cloud model has not changed in Vue 8, it`s still Volumetrics v.2.
But the atmosphere and the way the clouds are lit has definitely changed with Spectral 3.
I find there quite an increase in realism, especially noticeable with sunset scenes or scenes where the clouds are partially or fully obscured by clouds.
As for the cloud details, it has always been possible to create your own cloud details in the FE. The problem is that this is slowing down render speed enormeously and the FE itself is getting hard to handle (slow response).
