Of course you can. My post was not addressed specifically to you. The title of this thread mentions SSS and Poser 8 together, and has already been read by over 200 people. Many like yourself will have just heard about Poser 8. Not all of them will have read the features posted at Smith Micro (hence the link), and not all of them will have already bought the program and looked at the available features.

Marketing should always tell us more, but they rarely do. To their credit, SM allowed beta-testers, content providers, etc. to talk about the product before it was released. So, many who have been following threads here for more than a month already knew what the program would and would not have in it.

BagginsBill has already said he will be updating his VSS shader to take advantage of improved lighting and some other features. According to those who use it, the version of VSS that he has already released works in Poser 8.

I continue to ask for a few channels on the root node that can be programmed with Python scripts, and maybe even able to call external files. I would also like to see a node that had a programmable number of input and output channels that could be programmed with Python scripts. With tools like these third party programmers could extend the Materials Room to include many desirable features.
