For an additional $700 you could buy it completely assembled.
I never owned one, but I wrote business software professionally on it for a year. I loved that thing. None of the mature engineers at the time (I was 21) could make head or tail of it. It earned me enough in a few months to go buy a brand new Z28 Camaro, cash.
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
