Its the renderer that benefits from being 64bit. The boring bit, the interface - main program bit, will benefit little or none for being 64bit and hence might as well stay that way.

As I just wrote, we don't want the main part of the program made 64 bit, just the renderer, which has already been done in Poser Pro so I am betting it is just a recopmpile and hence simply a marketing decision from SM.
