I'd try saving the CR2 without using PMDs, so the morph data ends up in the CR2, just to eliminate on possible source of trouble.

Since the cr2 file can be edited in a text editor I actually tried to remove the references to the pmd but that didn't make any difference. And I guess this is more of a Poser question than of Carrara, but you wouldn't happen to know how to save a figure (cr2) without creating a pmd?
