He's still around, most of his templates are for Daz products and are the ones linked at the bottom of the product pages.

StitchWitch will make similar colored seam guides like his...  they are not quite as good (as far as I know they just have the colored edge polys not the extra text and markings)  but if you don't have a Sultan around it's the next best thing.
