I thought so too, but from what I've observed the V4 rigging magnets are only needed in poser, not carrara. I'm not a rigging expert, so I can't tell you why that is, but I haven't had a problem so far.

Also, if you try loading an M4 or V4 from the carrara's content browser, you'll notice that the magnets don't show in the properties tray or sequencer when you twirl down the body part view like they do when you import a poser scene.

Give it a try, the worst thing that can happen is that it won't work and you'll have to reload your scene.
