I am not sure, but I thought I heard that 3D Basics isn't compatible with Vista.  I think that's why the new 3D Express was made.  But like I said, I am not sure.  I run C6 Pro, and I haven't used 3D basics.  Try this.  Right click on it's desktop icon, then choose properties.  Now go to the compatibility tab, and try selecting Windows XP or Windows 2000 Compatibility mode.  Let me know if this works for you.
