C7 Alpha is currently being tested. Dev are working to fix some things. C7 Beta to be release next week after improvements and fixes are implemented, if everything goes as planned.

The genius type I mentioned has been able to get some realistic animation results. In the process, he discovered a new phenomenon, but it might be related to one of the settings.
