Hey, Pan, remember I did say "stopping and dispersing" the impact from the orbital cannon. That means that the impact is converted from kinetic energy to light, which results in a blinding flash of light brighter than the sun. That's the reason she's wearing the glasses:) Oh, and the light sabers in Star Wars actually do taper to a point, although not a completely pointy point if you know what I mean:) Aww, what the heck, watch one of the movies again and take good long look at the sabers.
