Actually there is software at DAZ the proports to be able to create poser figures from scatch and provide all or most of the tools available in Poser without actually having poser. Please not I DO NOT have this software so I can;t vouch for it, but I have seen it at DAZ. It may have a better control interface (Poser;s joint editing tool set is VERY primative and finicky to use, particularly the latest in Version 7), which is why I've looked at this software incase it would be an alternative, however at the rather high (IMHO), price I think it's really cheaper to buy Poser, so I haven't had the courage to take the plunge.
