I extract everything into dummy folder so files zipped with additional one folder above proper structure are not an issue, and then edit things like version number or messed up texture paths. Errors in commercial products are not that often (merchants and testers do their job correctly in most cases), but in freebies are way too common. I recently installed something and was absolutely stunned that the .cr2 had no problems with texture paths ^^'
