I see that PeeWee05 is still curious about copyright protection and asked,
maybe just the right clicking
A javascript could open a warning or even prevent right-click -> Save As.
However, it is trivial to overcome such 'protections'. IOW, you could do
that, but you shouldn't be surprised when you find that it was ineffective.
and reposting
You can't prevent or control that at all. OTOH, with Digimarc, you can
track the violations.
Visible watermarks and low res images might be a partial deterrent.
The real problem is the crooks ... and their low moral standards.
I know of a person who asked an artist for a copy of her web portfolio
for his personal use ... and then downloaded the portfolio zip file to an
eMail list. Even after he was convicted of the violation, he had the nerve
to complain that she had no right to prosecute him -- I think he doesn't
'believe' in copyright laws. He was even surprised when he was ejected
from a convention where she was exhibiting -- it seems that he doesn't
understand an order of protection either, ...
