I have no idea if this will work, but I thought I should suggest it - it has made a difference on my system, but for other situations.

Try changing your interactive renderer settings to software instead of openGL - it made things run better for me, but like I said, I have no idea if it will make a difference for your issue. Doesn't hurt to try though :)  Good luck !
