See, I struggle with this all the time.  I barely have time to do my own artwork, and I sometimes go through and leave comments, but a lot of the time, I just can't go back and thank all those that leave me comments.  I guess it's rude as you say.  Is it ok to thank everyone who commented on my images with each new image I upload?  That's about all I can do these days between spending time with my family, doing my job, finding time for my own art, and viewing others.

You misunderstand me a little. :)
I had a few artist on my fav list which artwork i supported for months. Every day. I leaved every day a nice comment on their artwork. Month for month.
I received never any feedback. Not one comment on my artworks and not even a short PM with thank you for supporting me. Nothing.
So tell me, is this rude and arrogant?? For me yes.
I dont wait for comments back when i comment a image.
But when i support somebody's work  for month , i think one feedback costs not so much time.
I have a lot of artists who just comment back one or twice every one or two months. Thats okay for me.
Not everybody has the time to write comments for hours. I am lucky and i can do this during my work. ( I work for my self) .
But ignore me completely is something i really call rude and arrogant.
