Since your figure is a conformer, you can still do this. Poser 4 doesn't really matter for my method. Go over your edited CR2. Something probably got lost there. Remember... Try leaving everything in the CR2, but just pointing to your sandal.obj in the "figureResFile" lines. If that works you can make a copy and then start editing things out that you don't need.
