Subject: Great to fill out a crowd scene -- but not on the cheap -- at least not here

Thanks for the suggestions and the links posted, everyone.

I've got AZL's Crowd Kit product -- which is basically a commercial version of billboarding.  It works, as the billboarding method also works -- within limits (as has already been pointed out).

From what I've seen, the most flexible, all-around solution involves using low-poly figures.  And yes, I agree with Keith that I wish that there were more such products available.  They would definitely have their uses.

As it is -- until Predatron's product -- to fill out a crowd scene with posable figures usually involved making use of the various low-poly Poser models.  But those figures have their limitations, too.  They can't be used for much of anything except for very distant renders, without their obvious "faceless dummy" aspect becoming visible.

Predatron's product will help.  And I do intend to buy it.
