
Hi and welcome to Carrara! Not really a one size fits all answer to this one. Carrara can do what you're asking, especially if the object is made in Carrara. However, recommending what method of UV unwrapping to use really depends on the how the object was constructed by your other software of choice. There is not a fail-safe unwrap method for imported objects. In Rhino, you should be able to set your UVs there. Using an .obj export with maps will bring the UV's in correctly to Carrara. TurboCAD I'm unfamiliar with but I'm guessing it could care less about UV's and will require some special handling. Bottom line, the software that authors the 3d object can make or break the ease of mapping. Feel free to post some screen grabs of your object and we'll see what we can do! :D Mark
