I'd like to point out that as early as spring of this year Daz had said they have no plans to develope and release a Victoria 4, but less then 9 months later here she is. They do like to keep things quiet for some reason.
I'm still trying to get used to Carrara. It's like an alien language to me I'm coming from two opposite directions to this application (3D Studio Max and Poser). Carrara feels like it should be a nice meeting of capabilities, a middle ground, but I can't entirely wrap my head around it. Add to that everytime I make some progress I run into a bug that makes me walk away for a month or two.
I have a love hate relationship with this software. I want to love it, but I think it hates me.
No bug updates is very sad news. I suspect keenart is right and they will probably come out with some intermediate version. My guess (like I have anything relevant to base it on) is that it would be late spring early summer. Probably 5.5.
Or, they might re-write it and sell it as Daz's Carrara Studio.
(ergh, mumble, mumble...)
