bt, As far as I know those effects are for lights. Post process except for volumetric cone. Don't know about glow or other possibilities.Have done only a bit with particles. Pretty new to Carrara and don't do too much with light effects beyond normal stuff so maybe someone else can confirm. I would check in the manual. Placing bulbs is an option. Might find this interesting(tho it isn't what you asked)...or you may have already seen it. Sorry couldn't be more help.
