That's your viewing area. That area would render. I have latest C5Pro. I moved some things around...tools. They pull off. You can also change ui colors...I sometimes do that. Also the right menu changes based on what you are selecting. Look in the manual for the info on the interface.

No need to think outside the box....
    Just make it invisible.
