I have not updated my system except the win xp and mcafee.  I turned Mcafee off but it did not make any difference.  I think what may make my PC incompatiable with Carrara is when one of my monitors broke and I switched my video card to single monitor, that is when Carrara stopped working.  I think it might be the settings in preference in Carrara.  I emailed to Daz and they replied to me about a week later and I replied back to them last week, have not heard back from them.
