I have a major web project that will feature lots of quicktime video and animated storytelling. i have filmed a group of First Nations artists for the last 4 years. They put on festivals, pow wow's and are amazing painter and sculpters. They just finished an 80 foot mural of the First Nations story of creation. It will open at the Royal Ontario Museum next year.
I want to animate the story and make it interactive for the web. I never considered animating it in Cararra. Prior to Daz purchasing Cararra as i was only using Poser and never really looked at Cararra.
I was going to purchase Cararra5 hoping to get faster renders than Poser and I like the look of their cel shading and the vector graphics plugins. If it would make a difference to do a project like this in CararraPro I could come up with the budget. If there are no benefits for this project to go with Pro i can stick with Cararra5 and the Transposer2 plugin.
i value everyone's input. It is one thing to read specs and totally another to listen to people who use the product and make recomendations.
I also work with VueInfinite but I have found the render times for animations way too long and the artifacts the animation render creates make it unsuable for this kind of project.
I should also state that I do have 2 other computers that I could use to render with for this project provied setting up network rendering in Cararra is not a nightmare.
Thanks so much for your valuable info.
