Texture maps: go into the material room and click the image of your texture. Click none. Or, if you just want to refresh the textures, it's under render, I beleive. 2. The fewer the polygons, the better the performance. Also, the program works better if you use that default setting where things turn into giant squares when you move them. As for actually making the program or files load faster, I don't know of any settings, but someone else might. 3. I've never had that problem... maybe someone else can help you with that. 4. sometimes, if my screen just goes blank, I leave it for a while and when I come back it's fixed. Maybe that will work for you, maybe not. Sorry I can't be more helpful, but hopefully someone with more expirience can help u. :)
