I thought the key was whether you ordered a box or ESD.

Version Eligibility:

• If you purchased a Carrara 4 Standard license, you are eligible for the no-charge* upgrade to Carrara 5.
• If you purchased a Carrara 4 Pro license, you are eligible for the no-charge* upgrade to Carrara 5 Pro.

Delivery Method:

• If you purchased an electronic/download version (ESD) of the product, your no-charge upgrade to Carrara 5 will be automatically delivered as an ESD. You will be sent a download link to the appropriate upgrade version of Carrara 5 to the e-mail address you provided at the time of your initial purchase, along with the new Carrara 5 license key.

• If you purchased a boxed version of Carrara 4, you can choose either:
  o An Electronic Software Delivery (ESD) of the Carrara 5 upgrade, at no additional charge (see delivery terms above), or;
  o A Boxed Version** of Carrara 5 to be delivered to you. You will be responsible to pay the shipping and handling charges.

Altho it also says this: So I guess you read between the lines. Pre-order the upgrade to the upcoming version today and youll immediately get the Carrara 5 Beta* - the final version will be automatically delivered to you as soon as it will be available!
