Subject: Customer Service Sucks, and I'm naming names!!!!

I have worked in the retail food industry for a number of years now, in a few places, and I've only burnt myself twice (serious burns, not just hot fingers).

Both times, it happened because I was in a bad mood and got careless.

The moral of the story? If I don't go to work in a good mood, I hurt myself. Being happy helps me work safely and helps the customers.

Sure, there are some customers who don't want to interact, but it doesn't cost me anything to smile and talk for a moment, and can lead to happy customers (who buy more and come back).

Just another perspective. PS - And if a customer gets the wrong order, I replace it immediately. I guess all hope isn't lost Down Under.
