> Q: Where are the door and widows framing supposed to be in Carrara to insert them in the door and window holes? They are not in Carrara. You import the window or door frame of your taste in the document (you can make it invisible) and than you can then choose the desired master object in the Child popup menu in the properties tray, an instance of the object will automatically be created a the hole location. The documentation ("To attach a window or door geometry to the hole, the model must first be present in the scene in the Master Object list.") leans towards advanced user lingo in this matter. > Q: In which room are the shaders place? The individual parts of a building only seem to be accessable in the modeling room but I don't see how to add the shaders. The documentation says "a shader with a Layer List of Parametric Mapping must be created." That's a bit sparse maybe. (see the above screenshot) Select the house in the assembly room, click on the Texture Room Tab (brush). Change the top shader to 'Layers list'. Choose Layers -> Basic Layer as the first shader. In 'apply to' you can choose which part of the house you want to shade. Add more 'Basic Layers' to cover all parts of the house.
