The treads are easy. First I made main part of the tire in the spline modeler by drawing a cross section and extruding through a torus. Then I made one single tread in the spline modeler, duplicated it and turned to make a "matched" pair across from each other. Grouped that, duplicated the group of two treads and rotated the groups.
