The problem is not just the file format. Vue requires Poser to be installed as it uses libraries from the Poser installation to open Poser files. Poser 6 will not be recognized immediately by Vue because it is just not known to the application. e-on will have to check if the current way of opening poser files still works and if it doesn't, change the way they access Poser files to open files.... all that before they can release an update to allow Vue access to Poser 6.
