I use Poser 5, C3 and Transposer. You can import animation made in Poser complete with props and play back/render it in Carrara. I've never lost any movement/translations. You can add more props/models to it within Carrara if you like. You can animate the Carrara models that you've added within the Poser animation that you've imported. You can apply modifiers (atomize, bend, etc.) to individual poser figures within Carrara (i.e. make V3 explode which is great fun. hehe). You cannot do any bone movement of Poser figures within Carrara. Each figure is treated like a one group model (I think that's an accurate way to word it). I haven't had any trouble getting Poser hair or textures into Carrara so far. Works automatically. One little thing I have noticed that I didn't see documented: If you're importing, for example, a 999 frame Poser animation (done this many times. Works fine, but takes a few minutes to import)you should first create a blank 999 frame animation within Carrara, then import the Poser file. Otherwise when you play it back you'll only get animation on every third frame or so. Don't know why. Overall Poser 5/C3/Transposer is a lotta fun. I recommend it highly.
