There is relevance to the link. Movable Type, software that many many people use to power their blogs/journals/photo logs/what have you, has always been free for personal use, with certain not-too-terribly-restrictive usage points. Now, however, it appears that, by going into the realm of a paid product, while they are still offering the base product for free, the usage restrictions have been tightened so radically and ludicrously that the average hobbyist or user-for-fun is left out in the cold, and his/her group or multiple blog left with either keeping the current version of MT that they have, or shelling out quite large sums of money for a license.
There is a rather insidious correlation...it's unfortunate.
