Bazze, I don't think the images are funny either and don't mean to offend, but they are a great set of pictures explaining what some of us do (or did). I think people have great difficulty understanding conflict unless you've been in it, sometimes pictures like this help break through this idea that modern warfare is 'impersonal'. I'd love to see a few politicians spend a while in conflict zone bfore they can make decisions to join a conflict coz it ain't pretty or nice or heroic it's exciting, but mainly frightening at the same time, you learn who your true buds are and who really are out for themselves. I'd want really good evidence of necessity before joining a conflict, obviously tactical asignments and decisions are a different thing, but the general decision to join is one not to be taken lightly.
