I agree alot has changed but I would love to see ID come back with bug fixes and an updated version. If it only had a better renderer (& HDRI) and the bugs fixed, I think it could easily compete with C3. Not to take anything away from C3, I agree it is a cool program but I think the interface, in general, will prevent people from taking it too serious. After all, look at what happened with Bryce and Vue. Vue 4 came out and alot of people forgot about Bryce and use Vue now (as most know there will be no more Bryce for the Mac and I suspect it's future in PC is questionable). I think the interface had a lot to do with it and I think the ID / C3 scenario is the same thing. What if Infini-D 4.5 was made available to download free (kinda like the Wings3D thing vs Nendo). If more C3 users could experience the program, Eovia might reconsider. At least it would be great to import ID scenes into C3.
