Great idea! Will the blogs be private or open to the members?

StaceyG ( posted at 12:00AM Thu, 13 July 2006

They will be open to members:)

I applaud your decision to do this. however, some precautions may be needed, as blogs have the potential to become rather politicised.

drifterlee ( posted at 12:00AM Thu, 13 July 2006

Sounds good if they are kept art-related, but if you trash your boss and he sees it you can get fired, LOL!

StaceyG ( posted at 12:00AM Thu, 13 July 2006

The TOS will apply to the blogs just like the rest of the site does. Hopefully everyone can have fun with them and they will be enjoyed:)

I've never really understood the idea behind a "Blog". Are they supposed to be like a diary of some kind?

StaceyG ( posted at 12:00AM Thu, 13 July 2006

Yes they can be like an online journal. Just a place to share your thoughts, opinions, ideas, family stuff, etc

what is a blog

thefixer ( posted at 12:00AM Fri, 14 July 2006

Hmm! Don't you get the same effect though in the forums?? Personally I wouldn'y share any personal issues here and anything art related would be done via the forums but good luck with it though, I'm sure it will be a success!

sackrat ( posted at 12:00AM Fri, 14 July 2006

Yeah,........not a big fan of blogs. I'm just a pixel jockey,......why should anyone give a rats ass what I think or feel about anything,........I don't fancy myself as being that important.

GregerE ( posted at 12:00AM Fri, 14 July 2006

It was inevitable, ah? I welcome it. It's nice to share thoughts on arts, software, etc. with fellow members. The forums are not suitable for off-topic thoughts.
