Renderosity wishes to acknowledge and congratulate the
following artists on their personal accomplishments. This is in no
way a complete listing of all the wonderful things accomplished by
artists on the Renderosity site. This is simply a list of things
that have been discovered about the activities of some of our
members that we wanted to share with the entire community. Images
on this site are copyright and cannot be reproduced, copied, or
printed without written permission from the artist.
- David A. Hardy On April 2, 2005, David A. Hardy,
and co-author Sir Patrick Moore, were honored with a Sir Arthur Clarke Award, which was
presented at the 7th Annual Conference of The British
Rocketry Oral History Programme , for their book: FUTURES: 50 Years In Space, The Challenge Of The
Stars. Additional Great News ... Their book was also
nominated for A Hugo Award (Best Related Book category)!
The Hugo Awards will be presented on August 7, 2005, by the World
Science Fiction Society, at the World Science Fiction Convention
(Worldcon). David ... everyone on Renderosity will be rooting
for you :) We invite you to visit David on Renderosity.
- Wanda Burns Wanda's artwork
titled To The Stars, was featured in Issue 11 of
The Nth Degree
Magazine. The Nth Degree is a familiar magazine to sci-fi
convention goers as it is freely distributed at all the larger
conventions. Also, Wanda's image Temporal Intersectionis being featured as
cover art for the Sci-Fi Weekly Newsletter on the Sci-Fi Channel
website.
- Jos Leys [josleys] The
image shown below was featured within the December 24, 2004, Issue
of Science
Magazine, to accompany an article on Hyperbolic
Geometry and related subject matter.
