How did you get started in 3D Graphics? My interest
to cinema was caused to meet the 3D Studio Max. And unlimited
imagination of 3D Studio Max was entered me t o this world.
How long have you been working with 3D Graphics? I
have been dealed with 3D Graphics for many years. But the Pretty3D
Project occured at 2003 in my mind. Do you have any formal
training? My real job is uninterested with 3D Graphics. So
I couldnt give any training. But some thick books helped me to
develop myself. What software do you use for product
development? Of course the main role is 3D Studio Max.
Besides I benefit from Lightwave (Modeler), Cinema4D, Photoshop,
UWMapper, Morph Manager and Wordpad. Im using Poser Pro Pack for
the transfer process to Poser. And also Winamp :) I cant do
anything without music. How much time is required for product
development? The modelling step takes 2-3 night ( I can
only work at nights ) according to feature of the product. The most
tiring and the longest step is to transfer this 3D Model to Poser
and to apply the morphs. I can create a 3D model in one week with a
hard work. Can you give a brief overview of your development
cycle for a new product? When I decide to make a product I
take a picture of it and Im modelling with 3D Studio Max. After
this step I seperate the parts suitable to poser hierarchy then I
add the materials of them. After 3D Studio Max work finish I export
with obj format. Then import to Poser Pro Pack. After some sets and
fiting, I add the morph targets with magnets or Lightwave (Modeler)
according to feature of the 3D model. And so the modeling process
is finished. Then I correct the corrupted UWM coordinates with
UWMapper. I prepare texture map with Photoshop. After all Works
finished I locate every file to its own place and I make the
necessary sets in Cr2/ PP2 codes by using Wordpad and Morph
Manager. And the last, after preparing the rsr files it becomes to
ready for sell. And of course if Sema (my wife) likes it :)
Where does your inspiration come from when developing new
products? When I plan my new products I inspire everything
that I see at the outside in real world. I interest every beautiful
object that I see. And I want to apply this to my products.
Do you have any advice for aspiring Digital Content
Developers? Firstly I think the 3D Graphic is an art. So it
needs some capacity and imagination for this art. Besides details
are very important. How has Renderosity's on-line community
played a role in regards to your products, friendships and
learning? I think Renderosity is the locomotive of 3D
Graphics. You can reach many people all around the world with
Renderositys perfect system. And so you can develop yourself by
this interactive communication. Do you have any final
words? I honor to be Merchant of the June. And I want to
thank my purchasers and Renderosity workers. This work supply me to
have many friends all around the world. Anyway, I think it is the
best thing in this work. Thanks to all. B Murat Tayfun
