Who is desdemona? I am Magda Vasters born in Poland and living in Germany for two years now. I am happily married and have no children yet but a lot of animals :) I was drawing since I remember, and always tried desperately to make my skills better and better. Right now I am working as a webdesigner and programmer and spending my nights on drawing and texturing or hanging out on ICQ with my friends from Renderosity. I am natural born Scorpio and my life and art is ruled through emotions and my temperament, which are good visible in my images I think... How long have you have you been rendering? I began my adventure with digital art long time ago with Aldus Photostyler and Corel Photopaint 4, I think it is about five years right now and with 3D art little bit later from Bryce2 demo version and experimented with it a little bit. I went through different software but Bryce was always my first love. I have started to make serious creations about two years ago from Bryce 3D wich I got as wedding gift from my husband and someday I missed human characters on my images so my husband bought me Poser as a birthday gift. Since then I started to visit Renderosity. First I was watching this beautiful art here and thought that I would never be able to do something like this. After half a year I decided to post one of my images and to my suprise the feedback was huge an very friendly. So I started to work like a crazy and posted without an end. What are you currently working on? I am working currently on a few textures and trying to develope my skills in this direction cause it makes incredible fun. I am also drawing all the time and trying to reach the perfection. There is still a lot to practice, but I hope one day there will be no mistakes in my works. What software do you use and why? Right now I am using Bryce4 and Poser4 and for post work Corel Photopaint and Adobe Photoshop. I am trying to add my images less rough and more painterly look that's why I am doing a lot of postwork and working on one image up to five days. Why do you like 3D art? I tried many different styles already, I was painting with oils, pencils and water-colors but since I discovered 3D art I am addicted to it. I think 3D art is a future trend and You can make much more experiments with it, there is so many different ways to create one image to edit it and rotate as You wish and this is fascinating, oils and pencils do not give You this opportunity. This is also incredible what is happening behind the creating process, if You imagine that this is what You see and trying to make with Your software is basicly pure machine language consisted of 101010 this is incredible....it is incredible how easy You can create art from a series on mathematical operations which are taking place inside in Your machine. What inspires you? I am forever a dreamer, dreaming all the time and I have images in my head which I have to make simply. The people here give me an inspiration, their art, their images I see everyday, my dreams. As a child I was fascinated with surrealism, already a 10 years old child I loved Salvador Dali, Zbigniew Beksinski and later came the fascination with H.R. Giger but also with impressionists as Degas and Van Gogh. All of this gives a shape to my creations till today. How has this online community (Renderosity) enhanced your work, relationships, and learning? When I first came here about one and a half years ago I thought I will never be so good as the artists here. I was shy, I wouldn't even dare to talk to people I admired. I was just posting and hoping that nobody sees many mistakes I was making. After some time I learned a lot from people's comments and advices, they were always friendly and I was taking every word directly to my heart. This place and those wonderful people here helped me and my art to become what it is today and I want to thank You all for this. I have made my best friendships here, have met so many interesting people....I have to say I never believed that this is possible. I want to thank You all, friends artists and Renderosity staff for making this place so wonderful - I love to be here and this choice makes me very proud. Thanks and big *HUGS* to You all....
