Elianeck has been a member of Renderosity since 2007. She lives and works in Brazil where she creates incredibly rendered images in Daz 3D.

Elianeck was kind enough to take time out of her schedule and talk to Renderosity about her background, working methods and ideas about creating digital art. Be sure to visit Elianecks's gallery at Renderosity and see more of her excellent work. The video (see below) features 10 images that represent the great work Elianeck posts to Renderosity.

Interview with Artist of the Month - Elianeck

Renderosity: Can you tell us a little of your background as an artist? When did you start getting involved in creating Daz imagery? Are you self taught or have you done any formal training?

Elianeck: I started about 10 years ago, my first experience with 3D was with Poser, I soon discovered DazStudio and I found it easier to use and with faster results. Soon I fell in love with Daz and to understand better I started looking for tutorials on the internet, and soon I understood how to use everything I learned, it was a learning process alone but many users helped me in the beginning with details that I did not understand.

Renderosity: Your work with Daz is often stunning (really) especially with rendering and lighting; can you tell us something of your workflow?

Elianeck: Thank you very much for the compliment. I always liked lighting, I like to "play" with the lights, I created lighting for my use, but other users asked me if I was not going to sell, so I decided to make for lights for sale, this after many years. As for the quality of rendering there is no secret, simply have to test with a low setting and for the final render is to apply a high setting

Return of the King

Renderosity: There are so many great images in your gallery, but one in particular caught my eye: V.4.2. How did you create this image?

Elianeck: This image I created to promote my light this for sale in my Daz shop, I just used the V4.2 to show that it works well with older models.

V.4.2.

Renderosity: Can you give us some tips on how to render and light better in Daz??

Elianeck: Yes of course, I work as follows: I use the lighting that matches the skin of the model, not just any light, I do several tests until I find the one that illuminates better and produces a good shade. Who are some of the artists that have inspired you? I have no name in particular, my taste goes from scientific to manga, I like to see images of other artists with attitude and emotion.

Do you have any advice on someone starting out with Daz?

Look first know the program look for tutorials on youtube that has several, many people ask me why my render are different, in fact they are unique, I researched a lot, I knew the program and I use the tools that it offers, basically the secret is really Explore all that the program can offer, with good judgment and good taste Lastly, how has renderosity made a difference in your work as an artist? Renderosity made a lot of difference in my work

Rachel

How has renderosity made a difference in your work as an artist?

Elianeck: Renderosity.com is one of the first places I found to post my art online. If you go back to the very early days of my gallery here you’ll see what I was doing in 2001 when I first joined (October 31st 2001!)… Actually don’t. It’s really crap now… but, it’s still all there. Renderosity really shows the best progression I have anywhere of how I have developed as a colour artist. It’s been a steady repository and safe haven for my artwork over almost two decades now.

Thank you very much the community and all artists of renderosity for having chosen me artist of the month of January, 2017. Big hug to everyone Eliane
