Tell us a bit about yourself. Who is 'wusel' ?

I am a nearly 50 year old man living in North Germany in a city wich is known as the City of the CeBit, the greatest Computer fair all over the world.

How long have you been creating digital art?

I'm working as a surrender driver for copies and prints of all kinds. When I am not working, I spend my free time with my family, and of course, with Vue.

The first time I met Vue Esprit by eon-software was in 2004 when I was visiting some friends trying out some graphics programs in which I was always interested in. In 2006, I got my own copy of Vue Esprit.

 

 

What do you enjoy most about Vue?

Working with Vue has fascinated me, to walk in another world, create landscapes, themes and sometimes rebuild memories of my childhood. To see what is possible with Vue is fantastic.

 

 

Who, or what, inspires you?

I have learned more and more over the years, mostly by studying the pictures of Dom1 or bigbraader. If you start to work with graphics, look at what other people have done, read and try, as I say, learning by doing.

Nearly 4 years ago I also started into photography as a second hobby for myself, mostly as an inspiration for my work in Vue. 2011 was a very successful year for my work in Vue, because I got third place in the eon-software environment competition. By the way, this year I was in the top ten. But, I still don't consider myself a professional.

 

 

How has this online community (Renderosity) enhanced your work, relationships, and learning?

Renderosity has always been a gallery for me, to look for ideas and see what other users do, and show my own work.

 

 

Do you have any parting comments, or advice for other artists?

When I think of the nominees for this month's AOM, there are many talented guys here.

I have to say something to all the Rookies in graphic art: Keep on with your work, there are always ups and downs with your work in graphic art but it`s facininating, whether you use Vue, Poser, or any other programs with which you are working.
