Contest FAQ

Q: I won (Insert Place/Mention Here) in last year’s (Contest Name) Contest, can I enter again!

A: Yes!  We encourage all of our members to enter all contests they feel they can!  You are just restricted from entering the same winning image again. So its not restricted to the ENTRANT but the ENTRY.

 

Q: Can I put my signature on my image?

A: No.  All images must be free of identifying marks, to make sure the voting is fair.  All entries must remain
anonymous.

Q: Why can’t my submission be larger than the size specified?

A: We try to make sure all entries are viewable, without sidescrolling being necessary, on as many screens as possible.  While our requirements do end up being small, it makes it so more people can view your whole image at once. As well as the size restriction keeps the Renderosity layout table from breaking.

 

Q: Why was my submission denied?  I can post it in the gallery without violating the TOS!

A:  Contest rules are vastly different from the gallery.  In a contest, you cannot set flags to have the image filtered by personal settings.  In the gallery, you can.  Contests must be available to everyone, and having Content Advisories on a contest is not allowed.  So no nudity, language or violence is allowed in a contest entry

 

Q:  Why can’t I post my contest submission to the gallery before the contest closes?

A:  To keep all entries anonymous.  Entries MUST be new artwork not previously posted online, or anywhere else publicly.  Entries MUST NOT appear online anywhere else during the contest or until the Contest Winners have been Posted

 

Q:  How can I become a contest sponsor?

Q:  If I win a place, can I choose which prizes I want?

A:  No.  All prizes are place-specific and pre-defined on each contest page.

 

Q: I submitted my entry 10 minutes before the contest ended.  Why was my entry denied?

A: It’s always important to give your entry ample time to be reviewed.  If your entry did not meet the criteria, and you did not answer the communication from the contest managers within the stated contest deadline, your entry will be denied.  Please try not to wait until the last minute to enter to ensure your entry meets the criteria and can be approved.  If you have questions before the contest ends, please contact one of the contest managers, or send an email to contests@renderosity.com
