ARTronica
The Orlando Science Center announces our juried exhibition of digital art, ARTronica. This Digital Art Exhibition will take place during Otronicon; the Orlando Science Center's ten day video game and simulation extravaganza, January 19-29th and will include two live digital artist stations with demonstrations throughout the event.

ARTWORK SUBMISSIONS
ARTronica is looking for digitally created works of art that explore the nature of creative practice, especially works dealing with the notions of artistic expression through the use of digital media. Works must be originally created by the artists using a computer or game console as the tool of creation.

All styles of artwork in which digital processes (except digital photography) were integral to the creation of the images are acceptable. These topics may be expressed in the following types of work, themes are envisaged (but not restricted):

2D and 3D Fine Art

Computer Art

Design

Computer Generated Models

Cartography

Virtual Art

Animation

Interactive or online works

Digital Music

Small-scale installations (displayable in light environments without the need for dedicated darkened rooms)

LIVE ARTIST SIGNUP
During the ten day Otronicon event, the ARTronica gallery will be presenting live artists at two artist computer workstations. Each artist station will present the attendees with a digital artist that is showing how they create their work. We are looking for professional and student 2D or 3D digital artists interested in being a part of this event. Artists will sign up for a 3-hour shift and will be asked to create either 2D or 3D artwork duirng that time frame. An important element that each artist must be aware of is that they s hould be able to explain what they are doing and the tools they are using to curious attendees.

Please let us know if you are interested in being a live artist at ARTronica. Artists that donate their time are welcome to attend the event free of charge on another day.
