Out in the real world, we all have hobbies and interests in addition to the work we may be most known for. Here at Renderosity, our vendors have their own stories to tell. Things they do away from their products... special projects, awards, citations, or things of interest that most may not know about.

In an effort to better introduce our vendors to the rest of the community, we've asked them to tell us more about themselves, and share their stories. Rather than a straightforward interview, these are their stories, in their own words.

This week, we find out all about artist and vendor, Petra Schoonoord, better known to the community as P3Design.

My name is Petra. I live together with my partner and son in a small town in The Netherlands. We have 3 dogs: a Chihuahua, a Border Terrier and a German Wirehaired Pointer. Yes, they size up from small, medium to large :) I absolutely adore my "furbabies," I like to take long walks with them. Furthermore, I like good movies, series, art, great food, chocolate and singing under the shower :)

Ever since I was a kid, I loved drawing, especially people, flowers and animals. At high school I got the opportunity to study arts for two years, which I adored. After high school I wanted to go to the Arts University in Amsterdam, but I hesitated and I didn't. A choice I still somewhat regret.

I worked for several years as a secretary and never was quite happy with it. But, of course, I had my hobbies. I did lots of creative things in my spare time, like drawing, painting, knitting, crochet, origami... I even created baby dolls from Artist's Modelene Clay for a while :)

I also took a hairdresser course. I love hair and makeup!

When I discoverd Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop a few years ago, I was thrilled. In my art I used a lot of tubes. This is also how I discovered Victoria 4, Poser and Renderosity. I soon started creating characters myself and some good friends advised me to sell them. And that's how it began. I feel so lucky that I was able to make a full-time job out of my hobby :)

I have met lots of wonderful people here in the Renderosity community and with some of them I have become close friends. I am very thankful for this and I would like to thank all my friends, customers and staff of Renderosity, without you this all wouldn't be possible :)
