"Someone to Watch Over Me"
By Pamela Dewhirst
Pamela is survived by her loving husband, David [hankim]; father and mother, Ted and Patricia Schneider; her brothers, John and Tom; and her sister, Sue.
"She was a trained artist, with a BFA from Syracuse University. She first began working with CG in the mid-'90s as the lead artist for a software house that created CD-ROM applications, but her enthusiasm for Poser and other applications didn't take off until she was introduced to it in 2001. She joined Renderosity not long after that.
During her time at Renderosity, she was plagued by a multitude of physical problems. However, she made some good and constant friends here. To those that knew her that are saddened by her passing, I would ask you to look at it the way that I have been trying to: For Pam, all of the pain and hurt and suffering are at long last gone. She is in a better place now, her spirit free of the body that imprisoned and tortured her for so long.
Pam was a lifelong animal lover. If anyone wishes to memorialize her, I would like to ask that you make a donation in her name, no matter how small, to your local animal shelter or Humane Society or equivalent. She would have really like that."
We welcome the Renderosity community to post their farewell wishes and/or links to images that they have created in honor of Chromofolio. May the family find some peace and comfort knowing that the beauty she created with stay with us in her honor.
The most wonderful thing about being an artist is that we always leave beauty behind. While a few works of Art many not seem like much, imagine if everyone could do that. What a wonderful world we would have. This world is richer for having housed Pam and the next gald for her return. S
Pam touched my life through her kind words, encouragement and beautiful art. Through good days and bad, she always tried to manage a positive attitude. I will miss her far longer than the short time I knew her. David- my heart, thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I am deeply sorry for your loss, but for Pam at least the pain is over. ~John
David, I'm so sorry for your loss. Pam was always special to me. She is the reason I joined Rendo. Yes now shes free of the pain and you are thinking right. Her Spirit will always soar in my eyes. Most people do not know the battles she fought. Peace at last for Pam. I just know she is in a better place. You are a wonderful person, who helped her with her battles of pain. She told me many times how you always stood with her.
OMG, not Pam. :-( :-( She was such a good person. She had her demons to fight, and most people didn't seem to understand. But I know that her heart was good, and I liked her a lot. I'm crying as I write this. I'm so very sorry, David. Tell the rest of your family that she will be greatly missed here. hugs -Heidi
