A new beginning is a very appropriate title for my first contribution to the gallery here at Renderosity for a seriously long time. One of my greatest artistic accomplishment these last two years has been learning to use Daz Studio and iRay. These have completely transformed my experience of working with 3d. It was a steep learning curve but well worth the effort.
Poser I have been using since version 4, but it took a long time to really develop my skills. Other interests were competing for attention! Also, I got into the habit of doing preview renders which were great when time was short. However, iRay changed all that when I saw the realism it could produce. Then, rather ironically, I found Poser had a good render engine as well, Superfly, with SSS shading, so now I'm using both!
The idea I'm experimenting with currently, is to have a small narrative with each picture so that there's an additional element to add to the ambience. It feels more holistic this way as its drawing from another area I feel passionate about.
Thank you all so much for sharing.
