It's been a while, so I thought updating this space would be appropriate.
There are pictures now, where there were none before. I am still shy, but the older I get, the less it seems to matter. I live in a bucolic world, populated by a lifetime of myth and legend, as well as my corvidae, kids, and the occasional faerie that does odd things like rearrange my book piles just to see if I'm paying attention (though I'm usually not).
Our house is finished enough that we have moved in, but there is still a great deal of trimwork to do, once the snow melts a little - my fingers get too stiff, too fast in the cold, and cutting off a hand would make this hobby very difficult! For now, Winter is in her cruel and capricious glory - we've been a whole month without a chinook, and I think it is wearing on us all. I think this is why I am obsessing on tiny, new-born faeries, and green-tinted sprites - a subliminal statement of how much I am longing for Spring, verdant and brief though she is, here.
I am very grateful for everyone who looks at my creations and leaves kind comments - you'll never know how much energy I get from the moments of your generosity! I also want to say how much I appreciated everyone who liked my entries enough to vote for them... winning the Christmas Contest and the Valentine's Day contest in 2018, and the Christmas Contest and the February Calendar Contest in 2019 really has encouraged me to keep plodding along! I remain surprised and deeply flattered. :-)
